This tiny little bar has huge character and vibrant atmosphere. The guy that plays piano is outstanding. Space is limited so make sure you come early to get a table as it’s definitely worth a visit. We stumbled on this little Berlin gem on our way from dinner couple of restaurants down. Originally planned one G&T after dinner but the... More

What a place, pianist playing in the corner, unbelievably good cocktails, friendly staff, cool location. Cocktails around €10-15 each and it is quite small so make sure you get there early and don't be surprised if you're sharing a table ! Easily our favourite bar from holiday, and we went in quite a few.

Cozy bar with a live piano, nice selection of cocktails and limited (but sufficient) food menu (burgers and sides etc.)

A lovely little bar in Berlin. Guy was playing the piano while we were there. Good selection of beer and cocktails. We actually went back a second time

We had a wonderful evening at Vincent- very reasonable prices, great location overlooking the river, tasty food and good drinks. The service was good and the atmosphere welcoming and pleasant. Well worth a visit for dinner or just for drinks.

Dreadful service. Staff blame each other for shocking service. Food cold and raw. Expect to wait at least 30 minutes for drinks to arrive. Minuscule portion of food will eventually arrive. Only 5 choices on the menu all served with freezing cold salad obviously prepared well in advance.. "Know it all" waiter told me not to choose Berliner beer as... More

Apparently this bar/restaurant has undergone a name change to: "Vincent" and with it came the introduction of the worst staff I've ever had the displeasure of meeting. Waiting times even for drinks are absurd and when asking the waiter about this we where confronted with a level of arrogance I've never seen in hospitality. This whole experience was topped of... The Van Gogh bar at Schiffbauerdamm in Berlin has an extensive cocktail menu, and the waiters know their business. I usually order a Manhattan to be able to compare, and the one I got at Van Gogh was excellent -- and big. Add to that a very nice athmosphere and you have a very good -- well -- cocktail.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
