Lovely place, nicely decorated especially by night! Great location near the spree, with friendly people, good pizza and nice music!

This is a nice place to get a beer with friends or family. Also the cheeseburger with grilled vegetables is very tasty. It looks a bit like Klunkerkranich but then near the water.

Chaotic wooden structure on the river bank - the kind of place that Berliners are fond of - but it closes at 22.00 just when you think it should be getting going. Better to go there for a few drinks first and then go to the restaurant Fame nearby

Had a great Friday night out with friends here... Lots of beers, in a great beach/bar area right next to the Spree! Enjoyed the live music and acrobat.... Even a little canteen serving chili/burgers/sausages which was very welcome after the first few beers :-)

The Holzmarkt is one of those places that you feel at home instantly, if you like a creative, cultural and relaxed atmosphere. Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
