We had the pleasure of Gregor as our tour guide who provided an insightful and knowledgeable experience of the key Berlin landmarks. Gregor was a fantastic guide and provided a sensitive insight into the city’s history.
Decided to take this walking tour to help introduce ourselves to the city and learn a little about its’ history (rather than muddle through ourselves with a guide book.) Which it did. . . and some. Scott our guide was knowledgable, engaging, authentic and passionate...More
Excellent tour. Personal insights from an art history major and local Berliner made for a unique experience. The tour blended history with present day issues, and the remarks on the changing uses of architectural symbolism, and nostalgia for the east were particularly fascinating.

When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit
buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
