We did the city bike tour with Brett (from Alaska) and loved every minuted. To start, the bikes were really comfortable-possibly due to the fat tires and padded seat but, of our party of 7, no one had sore backsides after! The tour lasted about 4.5 hours and took in all the major sites. We stopped for a lovely lunch... More

We had a tour with Brett who was really knowledgable and gave us a really good insight into the History of this amazing city. Most of the tour was on cycle paths but there were a few sections where we were on some fairly busy roads. Brett was good at ensuring no one got lost. Lunch in the Tiergarten was... More

A friend recommended this tour and I'm glad she did. We took off in the freezing cold and never regretted it! Brett was our guide and was full of interesting stories and historic facts. We were entertained and educated throughout the day. Do this tour at the start of your Berlin trip to get your bearings and have a good... More

Berlin is nice and flat and while it may seem intimidating to ride a bike in a big city like Berlin, it wasn't scary or challenging at all. Don't miss out on this great tour because you may be nervous! Great way to get an overview of Berlin and to know where you should go back and spend in-depth time.... More

It was VERY cold, snow on the ground, and we were a relatively small group. The cycling is easy as there are no hills, and German motorists respect cyclists. Our guide Brett was great, and we saw all the main sights to see in Berlin. Do this early on your break and re-visit any places you want to spend a... More

Took this tour in July 2016, it was a great way to get around and see the sights! Had so much fun! It hits the most popular places to see, it's easy to operate the Segway and the guides are friendly and informative! Loved it!

I reviewed this earlier with a two-star review. The tour was uninspiring in comparison to other tours given in Berlin. After being contacted by the company, we received a full refund, a gift voucher for a similar tour in Berin or Munich and a promise (with evidence) to improve. My star rating reflects the customer service more than the tour... More

We did the afternoon/evening tour in August 2016. It was great fun. Saw all the major sites (Checkpoint Charlie, the Wall, a guard tower that is still standing, etc) and had a great dinner in a Beer Garden in the Park. It was a great way to spend the evening and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
