Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This fountain is interesting to say the least, right in the middle of the alexendarplatz ( spelling may be incorrect), a shopping area . It’s different and an example I would say of bold art or a statement of East German mood

Good looking urban sculpture, surrounded by comfortable seats in order to be able to hang out and chill, cooling in summer. The installation was created in 1970 and celebrates friendship between nations, however due to its colourful enamelled plating and prostitution in the area it was nicknamed commonly "nuttenbruschen" or Christmas ball :) Nice object.

Brunner Der Völkerfreundschaft is an interesting relic from the G.D.R days, constructed in 1970 to celebrate the 21st anniversary of the formation of the G.D.R ,its not a pretty fountain but its interesting, it's got some great graffiti around the basin and the actual fountain looks very cool, fits in well with its East German location, its the centrepiece of the always bustling Alexanderplatz and is most definitely well worth checking out if your in the area.

Built in 1970 to commemorate the foundation of the East German Republic, Brunnen Der Völkerfreundschaft is not a pretty fountain and is in fact rather ugly but ugly in an interesting way ,it blends in with modern architecture of the platz were it's housed.
As we always stay in the Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz we pass this fountain every day,we are currently here in August and the weather is sweltering so the fountain is constantly surrounded by people cooling down, located in the main market area this fountain makes for some great photographic opportunities.
An interesting fountain and well worth checking out, it's found in Alexanderplatz.

Brunnen Der Völkerfreundschaft is a fountain that is located smack bang in the middle of Alexanderplatz.
Built in 1970 to celebrate the 21 anniversary of the formation of GDR,it's not really a beautiful fountain,it's interesting but not beautiful by any standard, the base is graffiti covered which fits in well with the East German Location.
This fountain is surrounded by a market that besides selling all sorts of souvenirs has innumerable drink and food outlets,it's always busy day and night .
We stay in the Park Inn Radisson Blu Hotel Alexanderplatz so as we exit our hotel the platz and fountain is directly outside.
It's interesting and most definitely well worth checking out,we were here in August and on a roasting hot week this fountain was always surrounded by people just cooling down .
A nice fountain and well worth a visit not just to the fountain but to Alexanderplatz.

On Alexanderplatz so chances are high that you spot it even without looking for it. Quite strange. Built in 1970 for the the 21st anniversary of the foundation of the East Germany republic. Name translates into Fountain of People's Friendship.

Situatuated in Alexanderplatz which is a rather plain none discript square which transforms itself when the drink, restaurant and souvenir stalls materialise and turns into a busy bustling hive of activity with street performers and the like .
The fountain is a modernistic piece of architecture with the main seating surrounding the fountain always full on hot days with people cooling down.
As we always stay in the Park Inn Radisson Blu in Alexanderplatz we pass this fountain every day we are on holiday here.
It's interesting and certainly a centrepiece in what other wise is a mainly shopping square, but if you enjoy communist style architecture well worth checking out.
