One of the most beautiful but compact of the worlds royal palaces. The tour with audio handsets is not long but a unique experience, wonderful designs, colours and artworks. Unmissable and so easy to get to from central Berlin. For approx £6.50 each we bought zones ABC day tickets at Zoo station, took the S7 train to Potsdam's station (30... More

Well maintained palace. Beautiful view on the palace terrace. Elegantly styled stucco on the palace. I recommend viewing.

Located about 35 minutes from Berlin, Potsdam's Sanssouci Palace was Frederick the Great's stunning Rococo summer palace. Both the palace and park are worth the day trip. Sanssouci Palace's gorgeous rooms have been preserved in their original condition with all their elegant and splendid furnishings. Don't miss the park & other palace offerings: the orangery, Chinese House, New Chambers Palace,... More

This palace really is beautiful and very well kept; as are the grounds it sits within. The palace sits on higher ground therefore really makes an impact as you walk up the stairs towards it. The only reason I can't give five stars is because I didn't have the chance to see inside the palace; however I plan on visiting... More

We walked all over the grounds of this amazing historical place! I so wanted to tour the palace but just wasn't able to because of time! So just seeing the outside of the palace was wonderful!

A historic luxury place in contrast to the war torn Berlin. Took a train with out bikes on a sunny day and biked around the grounds of the palace and saw adjacent amazing architecture. You can take a bike on a train in Germany, it has a good connection to the center of Berlin too.

So small, so beautiful. Built in just 2 short years, just a dozen rooms, but such design, such detail. From the moment you walk in, your eyes will be delighted by the almost over the top art, everywhere. The Voltaire Room is breathtaking. Enjoy!

The Summer Palace of Frederik the Great, built in the Baroque, it was thought to rival Versailles and was built between 1745 and 1747... the palace whose name is taken from the Sans Souci ( without concerns)... symbolises the palace was meant for relaxing in. After Re-unification of GERMANY... Frederiks body was returned to a new Tomb. The whole site... More

We caught the S bahn from Berlin to Potsdam and then a bus around to Neues Palais from where we walked up through the park. Beautiful park, and when arriving at the palace the gardens were lovely with the fountains and flowers. A mini Versailles indeed. Lot of stops walking up to the Palace, probably not good for disabled persons.... More

Here we have a marvelous surprise for the unsuspecting visitor: a GROUP of palaces that are much more impressive than Versailles. We were amazed to find this wonderful set of castles and gardens: it is a MUST to visit it. Afterwards, you can walk to the near city of the Postdam.
