It's much better to visit gardens next to the palace, but not the palace itself. Palace is a waste of time and money.

Amazing to see how lavishly the good old Fritz lived when he was away from the court in Berlin. Definitely worth a visit, but I would avoid the school holidays, it gets very busy.

The palace itself is absolutely gorgeous. It's very cosy and has a warm and humane atmosphere. They offer two types of guided tours: audio guide or tour guide. We took the tour guide hoping to get more individually tailored information, but were disappointed. The guide...More

Going to Berlin in July and would like to visit Potsdam too. We plan to take the regional train from Zoo Station and get off at the Park Sanssouci stop. How far is this stop from Sanssouci Palace and also centre of Potsdam for some sight-seeing. Is it all within easy walking distance. Thanks

Easter is a big deal in Germany, they could be closed. But then a lot of people have holiday then and it would make sense for them to be open. The only way you will know for sure is to email them.
