Wow

I had read about Hafen City and it was even more impressive than I had thought. We walked around the entire area, including all the bridges. It makes for great photography!

Loved the seafood restaurants along the water and the picture opportunities at sunset were amazing.

For any visitor to hamburg it is a must to visit the landungsbruecken. From there you have a big view of this big port city with all the overseas ocean traffic passing by. A view of the many shipyards across the river Elbe, with large ocean ships in docks for repairs or even new ship constructions. You can also take... More

The boats and the docks are impressive, the stag night groups not so and they are abundant. We never tried the fish restaurants that are said to be superb.

Well worth a visit. Germany is a industrial country. But manages to take care of "post-industrial" values as well.

Interesting tour of the harbor, lots of activity with the loading/unloading of huge cargo ships from all over the world. There are tankers, tugs and cruise ships in this second largest port in Europe. Nice view of the Hamburg skyline and the new Harbour City, a mix of condos, retail and commercial in ultra-modern buildings.

It's an architecture playground. It doesn't match, I don't like every building but it's cool to see it all at once. Very interesting concept and planned area.
