Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited this characteristic neighborhood, in particular the square where an evening party is held after 4PM and we found ourselves in a neighborhood reality reminiscent of a village.
We were welcomed as part of the 'village' and had a group evening amongst families with children and were amazed by the warmth of Hamburg and its people. The main reason I love to travel.

clean location. Reeperbaun street was an eye opener. One side of the street seems pleasant to walk down but the other side is a little seedy and lots of bars and restaurants with homeless people sitting around. No one bothered us . Walking along St Pauli pier was pleasant with lots of boat tours and restaurants available. Night life is very popular there.

Lots of bars, lots of noise and not very pretty. It is historic and you can have a lot of fun here but it is not all that pretty, so don't get too excited unless you love a lot of beer.

Party and nightlife area of Hamburg that is St Pauli.
Quiet if edgy on a Tuesday afternoon when i walked through - though safe enough during the day.
Not really my thing, but worth a walk through.

We did not have enough time, and in hindsight we should have prioritized differently. Could I have spend double or triple the time in St. Pauli i would. What an amazing pocket in the city.

St Pauli and Reeperbahn in particular is infamous worldwide. Not much to see. Dirty, in more ways than one. Full of homeless people and seedy bars. Seen it once and never again.

Dirty streets, homeless people sleeping on the streets, beggars missing an arm or a leg, graffiti tags on most buildings - it’s an ugly, sad and depressing place. Like large parts of Hamburg, really.

It is an original suburb where the 2017 G20 Riots happened. I went with several people, one of whom was a local to Hamburg & a history buff - I don't think I'd go there solo.
It is very interesting from a historical viewpoint.

Can you just turn up at St Pauli FC and buy a ticket?
Best way to get to stadium?
Thanks

There are very limited tickets on sale on the day it's best to contact the stadium and arrange what tickets you need.
The ground is about a 15 minute walk from the Reeperbahn.
Have fun.
