Hamburg´s floating landmark. A visit on board the cargo sailing ship, built in 1896, is always worthwhile. Carefully restored crew and officers’ quarters provide insight into the ruggedness of life at sea. Below deck there are interesting special exhibitions on maritime themes and a restaurant.

Hide away from the crowds on the waterfront by touring this 19C sailing ship. We really enjoyed it, both the engineering and the depiction of life on board. Nice looking restaurant too, though we did not stay. Excellent value at 5 euros (seniors).
