To really enjoy the fishmarket atmosphere you need to visit at 5-6am to enjoy the true fishmarket. During weekend you will experience the early morning change from dance public to working people that will earn their money from fish and flower sales. The Dutch flower...More

Our cruise anchored near the place on Sunday & we went there early lest we missed the atmosphere before 9.30 am closure. This is just an overcrowded market which sells fish, vegetables, fruits etc. What's the big deal of having rock bands playing in the...More

This was my favourite experience in Hamburg. I arrived at around 7am and was only expecting to see stalls selling seafood, but there was so much more - sweets, baked goods, clothes, souvenirs, fresh produce, plants and flowers. There is a mix of young party...More

We arrived a little before 6am and the market was hopping. I got one of the best cups of coffee I've had in a while at one of the coffee trucks (though quite expensive), and the fried fish sandwiches were very tasty. If I lived...More

Lots of fun and lots of options for food from the stalls. There was live music in the dance hall which was amazing! Early start but well worth it.

We went there early on Sunday morning and loved it. Don't expect to see a food auction. What you can do is eat breakfast and even a brunch with locals while listening a rock concert and buy some fresh fruits, vegetables and fish.
