The park is quite big. There many places to do outdoor activities, good for kids. There is canoe rental as well.

In my opinion there’s nothing special about this park - it’s not very nice or beautiful - nothing compared to what you see in the “Altes Land” (which is not too far, like around Jork, Lühe,...) or at the other side of the Elbe - way better options for a nice day outside! So if you have the option of going somewhere cycling or have a car - altes Land is a nice area to chill out not having too many people around. If you don’t and you don’t mind many people on a Sunday, for example, go take the train to the other side of the Elbe and enjoy the weather over there! This one is not worth it.

Large park area, which was formerly built for the Internationale Gartenschau in 2014. The canoe-rental-station charges per person instead of per canoe-be careful with the number of persons for canoeing!
