This and the museum are the most famous things in Darmstadt. The complex of buildings was put up under the direction of an Austrian archtiect of the Secession movement around 1910, and it's all unusual, charming, imaginative....and you'll love the mosaic of the married couple...More

Very interesting group of buildings from Austria Josef Olbrich plus others. Interesting start of modern movement unthinking. Check out alls the Peter Behrens house. The guided Tour is worthwhile. Very informative.

Not far from the centre of Darmstadt you will find this beautiful Russian church in an unexpected place. Many weddings were going in in the surrounding grounds.
