It is one of the really worthwhile museum. Masterpieces for every taste: Rembrandt, Monet, Picasso, Kirchner, Collections from 1300 till our days. I saw also the exhibition Maniera, which is on the Italians Pontormo, Bronzino, Andrea del Sarto, Rosso, Vasari. Very interesting. If you are not an art lover, I would suggest the audio guide (only in EN). There is... More

As I live in Frankfurt I have visited Städel more than once, and surely will visit again. The museums stands in the museums district of Frankfurt, along the river Main (not far from the famous Römer, which recommended by itself). If you are an art lover, you gonna love this place. The permanent collection spans over a few hundred years... More

This is a world class museum with great specialist exhibitions from time to time in a classically beautiful building on the south bank of the River Main - which flows supremely through the centre of Frankfurt. We usually visit every time we come to Frankfurt.

The museum has an impressive range of art pieces. Though I was not really a fan of art, the descriptions of the art pieces helped a lot to tell me about the artist and the piece.

Went to the visiting Monet exhibit! It was a great treat and the other art was excellent. Worth the trip - you can easily get tickets on line or at the door.

Beautiful museum. Went to Frankfurt specially to see their Mannerism exhibition, which was fabulous and worth the trip. The museum's permanent collection was the cherry on the sundae.

There are different levels that group the painters for periods of time, so they show the evolution on style and materials used. It is a good option for people interested in art.

It's a beautiful museum. Different way to enjoy leisure. The museum is huge, a lot of art from painting to sculpture - from the old one to the new one. If you love art things, you will appreciate it. If you more on science and fun things. I didn't think you'll enjoy it.
