We unfortunately were not able to see the fountain. It has been removed for repairs. However in the same location as Römer, so we continued on with our walking tour.

normally this would be historic spot. Fountain is missing, and is clear that this was complete reconstruction--it is really nice looking, but I struggle with the newness--it is without the core character of history. should still go here and check it out.

Generally a noticeable area of the old town, unfortunately understanding renovation, so the complete look was missing. There is also a lot of open air selling points that ruin the character of the place in addition.

the fountain itself is still gone, will only return late 2018, as far as I know. Which does not really matter, since this is THE central place in Frankfurt, with the old city hall (Roemer) on one side, the magnificent half-timbered medieval houses on the...More

Bring a camera and an umbrella ( if the weather is lousy..) The area presents several photo oppurtunities .. and a worthy hour of browsing time. otherwise just a great place to sit down and enjoy the tourists or wedding parties passing by.

We came here to have a sit in the sun and just enjoy the music from street artist. There is a little place that sells rolls with 'wurst', which was also nice. The fountain has been removed though, not sure if its forever or maybe...More

After being trapped in meetings the whole day it is natural to want have some walking to relax. I did such walk in a light rain but relatively warm weather and it was really great. Less people on the streets and still enjoyable.

This fountain is a nice piece to have in the middle of the square. Of course the square is very nice. I could sit here and relax for a long time.

It's a fountain, but nothing special. If you did not know about it, you would not notice during your visit to römer.
