Really no more than a time stopper or filler often offered with a short Noddy Train trip . Mildly entertaining collection of automatic music playing machines with a performance from your guide on some individual machines as you pass through but not much more to...More

This attraction is highly rated and we really wanted to see it. However, you can only visit by taking a guided tour. We called a day ahead and were told that in season, they're fully booked with river cruise ship groups, but if we came...More

An amazing collection of mechanical musical boxes from various centuries and countries from large public performance ones to very small boxes. The guided tours are very good with good information and demonstrations. Some of them are quite loud so if this troubles you be prepared...More

This is a working collection of music machines. Our tour guide gave a 2 minute talk about a machine and would then turn it on. We listened to a handful of the hundreds of devices on display. The musical dolls was a little creepy.

I wasn’t that keen to visit, but I am glad I did. I’d see a musical museum in London and it consisted mainly of many musical instruments behind glass. This was completely different. The instruments were mechanised and the guide giving the tour would talk...More

We visited the museum with a group from our river cruise and had a very nice escorted tour. The collection of self-playing musical devices ranges from small music boxes to huge musical cabinets with a variety of instruments (one including violins). Our guide demonstrated several...More

Arrived at the museum with, unfortunately little time to visit. Woman who seemed to be in charge, pointed at the sign outside showing the next tour and walked away. A much younger lady apologized for her behaviour (thank you). We then went elsewhere. Our custom...More

Great museum of musical pieces. Absolutely worth the trip and guided tour. There are more than 300 pieces in this Museum, some of which are played to show you the mechanical workings and to hear the music that is generated. Well woth the visit.

An excellent place to visit and the guide played some of the instruments. The engineers back in the early 29th century were very clever!

With all of the Americans in town and around this area, finding 4 people to do the English tour should not be a problem. Check with your tour advisers or if all else fails go and see if you can get on a list.
