My wife and I took the cable car ride during our visit to Rudesheim. It was part of a Christmas Market tour with Tauck. Beautiful views of the city and the Rhine river. Dress warm if you take this ride during the winter.

Taking the cable lift up the mountain has you gliding in quiet comfort over a sea of beautiful vineyards. It is especially beautiful in October, when the vineyards are turning yellow. Bring your camera.

My wife, who hates heights, and I rode the Seilbahn up and down. The views of the Rhine, Ruedesheim, Bingen and the vineyards were fantastic. The cars are not overly high above the ground and the ride is smooth. There is no waiting; cars come...More

We selected the perfect time of year. The views were in full summer colors. Our teen age children even enjoyed the rides and the views, as did my 80 year old mother.
