The Rathaus is a great building with history. The building itself is magnificent but the models of Hannover before WW2, and after WW2 really show the destruction that occurred. Then there is the present day model which shows how the city has been rebuilt.

We went to take a quick look, and stayed for hours, I love the library there. You can't touch the books but just to see them all is impressive.

This restaurant looking out over beautiful gardens is a great place to relax with a drink or meal. Just don't get lost inside the incredible Rathaus itself if you're looking for the loo. Mind you, it's such an amazing building, it might be worth it!

An enormous City Hall, with some nice macquettes of how the city looked like before WW II, after, and nowadays.

The neues Rathaus is a nice attraction to relax yourself and take a breath far from the rush of the day. Inside the buildings there are some temporary expositions and 4 thumbnails of Hannover in 4 different periods: in 1600s, before and after the second...More
