From the outside the building is magnificent with a lot of nice details. However the real surprise is inside. I suggest to go in, I will not share to many details because I do not want to spoil the surprise. Go to the first floor via the main staircase and go back down via the smaller round staircase. When going... More

We randomly arrived at the town hall during a wedding which was quite strange but fun! We were still able to walk around and see the amazing interior. The queue to go to the dome was an hour long so we waited until the next day and arrived early. The view was spectacular and for only 3EUR each it is... More

Our visit to this site was a real surprise. We expected it to be an outside - view only of its nice façade. Usually, we shy away from climbing towers that have stairs only, and we were delighted to find that this Town Hall tower offered an elevator. It is small, and only 5-6 people can ride it at a... The Rathaus offers amazing Hannover city's Ariel view (3D map) before and after world war. You can clearly identify and see how the city was looked like before and after world war. It's really fascinating. If u are in Hannover , do visit this place!!!

Nice and lively place. Good for photography. Max spend 30mins. Easily accessible n walkable from Hanover Hauptbahnhof central station via the Kropcke market area. Nothing exciting for families with kids though. History lovers will love it. Don't miss to visit the Old Church ruins nearby.

It is indeed a must place to visit. The building is beautiful, inside as well. You have to take the elevator up to the tower to see 360° view. The elevator is unique, has an inclination of 70%. The view is fantastic.

You'll have a beautiful view of the town and the surrounding gardens, plus the inside is exciting too and there's a nice modell of what Hannover looked like before WWII and of what got destroyed.

The grounds are stunningly beautiful and clean. Worth a picnic by the lake if time allows. Inside, an absolute must see (and free), are the dioramas of Hannover's early beginnings, pre and post WWII, and as a modern city. My wife took the lift while I was working (3Euro) and enjoyed the view overlooking the city. Easily overlooked, you pay... More
