The City Hall of Aachen is a very impressive building and the surroundings with the marketplace and the "old city" is the place to be in Aachen. Definitely worth a visit is the Christmas Market around the City Hall in December.

The coronation room is beautiful but when we were there they were preparing a reception and the place was full of chairs and tables.
