The Tierpark is a little out of the centre of Aachen but easily reachable by bus (no 41 goes right to the front door from the Bushof, others go to within a 5 minute walk away on Erzbergerallee) or you can walk it in about 35 to 40 minutes. If you have the time and like zoos it is worth... More

It is a very small zoo, and if you have only a few days in Aachen, I wouldn't recommend on going, unless you are travelling with kids who like it. The zoo is pretty small in comparison to other zoos, but you can feed the animals.

The Tierpark is a GREAT place to take a family. Admission is reasonable and there are 5 or 6 playgrounds for kids; the animals are very accessible with many opportunities to feed smaller animals, including the goats. The animal enclosures have mostly low fences and barriers for good viewing. Plenty of restrooms and a couple of snack bars to get... More

Bit of a trek out of town but i think it was worth it. Got to hang out with the goats and there was an array of animals for a very fair price.

We were looking for something to do, to get our two young children tired out after a Sunday morning tied into a stroller around Aachen's Christmas Markt. A Google search found a site giving 10 things to do in Aachen. The Tierpark was on the list, and knowing how much our two love animals, decided to give it a whirl.... More

The animal park turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. I was expecting something a lot smaller. In the end we strolled around for about 2 hours. The entry fee was €6 for an adult which we found very reasonable. The majority of the animals on display are smaller and less exotic than the bigger zoos. You wont find... More

Aachen zoo is lovely - not very huge but plenty of well-cared for animals. Animals seemed very relaxed around people so you get an excellent view. Lots of play areas for children on way around too. All family enjoyed it: parents, 10 year old, 13 year old and 18 year olds. Summer 2015: 6 Euro entrance for adults.

We have been visiting this small zoo couple of times over the last three years. We had a pleasant feeling when we left, well maintaned park which is always improving the housing of the animals; The animals are all in good shape, superb to see in this green environment about 3 km from the aachen city centre. New in 2015:... More
