Unfortunately the Munster was closed when we visited - and will be for at least the next 2 years. The cloisters and shop were both open however. The cloisters proved to be a pleasant 10-minute diversion.

It's a great cathedral to see. While it is currently closed for renovations, you can walk around it and still visit the cloister. The front facade is very interesting and looks to be a later addition. Very centrally located so almost hard to miss!

I can highly recommend visiting Bonn Cathedral, however, unfortunately the church will be undergoing significant maintenance and renovation, and so will be closed for a few years.
