This giant Gothic cathedral, which until its completion in 1880 had been under construction for over 500 years, is perhaps Germany's most famous religious structure and includes two huge towers that serve as the defining symbol of Cologne's skyline.

This is a beautiful cathedral and if you enjoy WWII history then you will enjoy the history behind this church. It's fully operational and worth the time to visit. We were part of a river cruise and this was one of our stops. Note that...More

Magnificent example of the majesty of European Cathedrals. Three Kings (Tres Rois) definitely worth some time to view. Everything about the Dom makes you pause to consider the capacity of mankind to create.

If you go to cologne the cathedral is well worth a visit. The stained glass and shrines are amazing. The shrine of the three kings is amazing to see. Go down to the crypt. Well worth a hour of your time.

It’s a wonderful experience going up the Dom, you must visit it as it’s the main touristic location in koln even if you’re a local it’s a must! I 100% recommend it

Took mass this morning on a visit to the stunning cathedral. Just lovely to be in this environment people were friendly and helpful if a bit chilly. Wrap up and enjoy the beautiful building and atmosphere.

This is an imposing building on the outside and an even more imposing building on the inside. The stained glass windows and the atmosphere of peace that pervades the building are very evident.

We just been there and it was amazing. Huge domes and great vitrals. It is for free and you should linger and admire all its structures. It was very cold and with dim light in the inside.

The Dom cannot be avoided if you arrive in Cologne by train, as we did, because it is right there opposite the station. How to adequately describe it? Imposing, enormous, massive, awe-inspiring, collosal. It is intricately ornate in the extreme. And that’s just the outside....More

Hi, At the right hand side of the Cathedral entrance there are some steps leading downstairs to some toilets and the entrance to the tower climb. Follow the corridor and there is a ticket booth at the end. Enjoy!
