Can be easily found by following the Rhine waterfront southwards from the main station, you'll see it on your right. The tower is one of the landmarks of the historic town, and a recognizable feature of the Cologne skyline. A must see for architecture lovers!

This building was renovated after WWII and they have done a very good job. A lot of the original floor mosaics are preserved. It is definitely worth 20 minutes to visit this church.

The church stems back from the romans and has been a Benedictine monastery. It is open most days from 9am and the entrance is on the right side of the building

Very beautiful church from the outside and inside as well. Near to the cologne cathedral and lots of restaurants are also around.

It was a great surprise to find this piece of silence and peace in the middle of Cologne. Is a church constructed over a very ancient roman site. The history is the most interesting. Worth a visit.

Beautiful old church in the heart of cologne. Yes it is shadowed a little by the huge cathedral. Worth a look if you are in the area.

As you wander around old town stop in for a few minutes to take in this very pretty church with Roman ruins. We had a little time to spend before we caught our train and this was a perfect place to visit. It takes only 15-30 minutes and is free.

Groß St Martin is a lovely church from the 1200s. While it is much more basic than the cathedral, it is still quite nice and is well worth stopping by as you walk through the old town. The church itself is pretty, but the really impressive part is the excavation Roman ruins in the basement. They aren't huge, but it... More
