Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Pure money-making and an unpleasant New Year's Eve. The event was advertised with 5 different types of music, so I thought there would be something for the older non-rappers or non-remixers too. End of the year in a dream setting with a mega party, so I booked tickets for €20 per person.
First, the leftover Halloween watches were tied around our wrists (I personally collect them as a souvenir), then we were greeted by music that was far too loud and had nothing to do with partying. The sound was also very poorly set for this room.
The only person who enjoyed this type of music was the DJ, who was eagerly "grooving" on his mixer.
The drinks menu was very minimal and overpriced (1 bottle of Jacky and Coke €140) and drinks were even removed from the menu.
But it was outrageous that they didn't even offer snacks or anything to eat.
All I can say is never again party in the castle with such poor service and atmosphere.

Walk down the pedestrian mall towards it and be impressed by the size and style of the courtyard and the magnificence of the castle entrance (and the courtyard has a good kids playground). The building itself seems a little vacant though it does have a courtyard café. The real find is to walk through the building to the fabulous gardens outside, so meticulously maintained. After exploring the many twists and pathways in the garden, keep walking the same way to leave by the beautiful garden gates that open on to the walkway along the Rhein. Then it's a short and interesting walk up to Deutsches Eck, where the Rhein meets the Mosel, with parks, a museum, an impressive stature and plenty of options to eat, or take a cruise, or shop. Lovely.

The cable ride over the Rhine, the wide open spaces of the Castle. The friendly people everywhere, and a maze of tunnels to explore. Did not have enough time to visit the whole, but one needs a full day and rested legs to explore it in entirety. Do not even think of missing this if you visit Koblenz

This is an impressive looking place with many rooms but presently there is only a cafe on the ground floor. The grounds are lovely and the beautiful gardens are still maintained. Other than seeing the exterior and enjoying the grounds there is no other reason to visit. I did not see any information that it could be toured. The cafe seemed to close by 7 PM so you can get inside the gate before that time. Signs to this place and other attractions in Koblenz are excellent throughout the city.

My wife and I only walked around the outside of the facility, but it was a very beautiful building with great gardens and statues located directly on the Rhine river. If you have pretty weather, it definitely worth checking out!

Decided to walk to the Electoral Palace while walking around town. Not sure if you can actually see the palace inside, but we just walked through and went out in the gardens out back, toward the Rhine, and I took some photos. Lovely view of the fortress.
I think there's a coffee shop inside.

Elector Clemens Wenzeslaus was the first Elector who left his former residencial city Ehrenbreitstein switched Rhine riverbank: 1777 until 1786 he had the Electoral castle decorated in the French classicism style. After French Revolution the Elector had to flee in 1792, later he left Koblenz forever.
1850s – 1857s Prince Wilhelm took the Office of Prussian military Governor at this castle. He was later known as Emperor Wilhelm I, for whom at the 'Deutschen Eck ' a monument was erected. Together with wife Augusta he resided at the Electorial castle. Empress Augusta gave the landscape architect Lenné the order to shape the Rhine riverbank (nowadays the beautiful Empress Augusta-boulevards). 1944 the Elector palace was damaged up to its outer walls; 1950/51rebuilt. Now it serves the Gouvernement and is not open to public. Federal horticultural show ' 2011: the middle part of the castle will be open to the public in the context of events and congresses and will be accessible again.

Impressive Palace,on bank of the Rhine. Doesnt look as though there is any access to the building but you can walk through it to access the gardens on either side.
The grounds are just lovely, one side is huge park like grounds with tree lined entrance and the river side has manicured gardens with beautiful tulips.
Only a short walk from here along banks of Rhine to the Deutsches Eck.
A great free place to visit in Koblenz.

This was a really nice building. It had a huge courtyard in front of it and there are supposedly concerts here.
