Walk be filled with wonderment at such dedication to beauty. Say a prayer, light a candle if you wish, you will walk away feeling the tranquility and peace one has after a short stay in such a lovely place of worship.

This is a lovely 14th century gothic church with the most beautiful blue stained glass windows. There is no charge for entry but feel free to give a donation. We thought the church was closed as the door was shut but when we went to...More

We arrived in Mainz by ship and were provided with a tour of the city that included St. Stephens Church. I would definitely recommend you visit to view the beautiful windows.

This is a beautiful stop to just come and enjoy the beauty of it all. Even though the glass windows are nothing like Sagrada Familia, but it was still pretty

Beautiful windows and wonderful cloister (through the glass doors). No info/signs in English that I could see but easy enough to look up on your phone. They recommend 1€ for church upkeep but this is voluntary. Small shop selling postcards, books etc.

The big drawcard is the windows by an aging Marc Chagall (died 1985), which became necessary to replace earlier windows destroyed during the second world war. The church dates from 990 and has a double choir, one at each end. There is also a pleasant...More

Famous for stained glass windows designed by Chagall so that we visited there. It's quite beautiful. Getting through the historical entrance door, windows are breathtaking.

I spent about an hour, and purchased the English guide book. But the windows could be quickly viewed in about 20 minutes.
