It is very interesting to find out that Roman empire has been present in this part of Europe... The monument is still well preserved after so many years. You can find info and souvenirs also in the small info shop right near to the monument

This old Roman wall on four levels is impressive. Well-preserved and maintained, this monument to Roman history is worth seeing. The restoration is explained well in discrete signs throughout. The views from the various levels on a sunny day were excellent. There was even a...More

It’s almost unbelievable how big this gate is. There are so many interesting corners, bits of art and more left - it’s easy to imagine the Romans using this building. It’s really worth going inside and climbing up to the top floors.

Beautiful Roman imperial gate architecture that later was adapted to a church. Incredible how these Romans were able to build such massive structures. Nice square and linked with the main shopping square.

To look at, stand in, and walk to the second floor of a building that dates back to The Romans is pretty cool.

The Porta Nigra is very old and very fascinating. It's in good condition and it is one of the main access to the old town. Outside there is a lot of traffic but inside is a free car zone so it's very quite and more...More
