The baths are really nice and so old looking (they are) yet you can almost see youself amongst an array of people at the baths enjoying themselves.

This is one of the coolest parts of this historical city. You simply must see the baths as you pass through this town.

If would you like to know how the romans citizens lived this is the perfect way. This amazing place in Trier is one of the most important example of the roman culture.

The baths were being restored when I was visiting, so there was a lot of scaffolding up, but that didn’t stop this experience from being completely excellent! Most people thing they have to travel further east to see Roman ruins, Trier is an excellent place...More

The best part of the baths is going underground! You are able to go under the baths into a tunnel, which was very creepy at dusk, but well worth it. We ended up getting lost in the tunnels because they are that large but we...More

Late in the day, we visited these Imperial baths and the Barbara Baths at old Trier. Impressive. Oldest outside Italy. Step back in time. Well described in various languages including English. Recommended.

While we didn’t take my 84 year old dad to see the baths, my son, daughter-in-law, husband and I did check out this ancient site during an earlier visit. It is amazing, but not if you are traveling with an elderly disabled person.

We almost didn't go into the baths, but I'm glad we did. There is reconstruction going on, but walking into the tunnels was fascinating.

There is a reesonable amount to see, although not a great deal of interpretation in English. Best value is to get a combined ticket that permits admission to a number of the historic sites of Trier.

Addendum. Mildly interested visitors usually do it very quickly and leave within half an hour due to the exposure to the sun and lots of walking. If you are interested in such a fantastic example of ancient engineering, then... More
