Old crane is located at the Mosel riverbank just a few steps from the younger crane, not too far from Roman Bridge. It is a beautiful industrial building, most probably not worth a separate trip but definitely interesting enough to visit once in Trier. It...More

The crane dates back to the 15th century. There is nothing particular about it. However, its presence among the beautiful bank side of the Mosel is an addition that adds to the charm of the whole area. You can see it easily if you simply...More

Its an old crane, a bit worn down and would need some information outside about what it is. But the walk beside the river is beautiful!

This one, in close viscinity of the younger crane, is the oldest crane in Trier, located at the Moselle enbankment and very close to the Roman bridge. In 1413 "Lieffgins son", tenant of the floating wooden crane in Trier, received the permission of Archbishop Werner...More
