Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A lot of industrial exhibtis from Chemnitz' industrial past ("The German Manchester") are shown, most prominent the machines that were used to produce different kinds of textiles. Many of the old machines do still work and are shown in action from time to time. All in all this is a really interesting place to visit and certainly something you shouldn't miss when in Chemnitz.

As with most museums that I visited, students will get some discount, which really helps. The museum is really informative, with most of the explanations in English, so most of the tourists should be able to understand it. There is a showcase of how Germany Traffic Light works, as well as the textile part at the underground. Speaking of Textile Part, there's an old woman who is really kind, and went out of the way to help me understand the game located at the underground, as well as how the light experiment works.

Overall, must visit if you go to Chemnitz!

After the renovation a few years ago, we don't like it quite as much anymore. There is no "red line" to be seen, it seems a bit thrown together, real highlights like the steam locomotive are off to the side... We lack a "centre" around which everything is grouped. The biggest annoyance in our eyes is the car presentation. The idea with the boxes is good but not well executed... stacked far too high. When the cars had their own hall, that was great... now, however... The special exhibition Chemnitz leuchtet was disappointing. Neon signs should shine... The visit leaves a mixed impression.
Access and parking without any problems.

Amazing place and well worth a visit. Interesting display with robots assembling a vehicle which gives a good perspective on old and new. Nice that most of it was in English as well as German. Staff were lovely and helpful as well.

Wanted to visit Chemnitz for some time and selected the Industry Museum as a good place to start. Not really suitable for families but great for middle aged or retired couples.

Our satnav took us straight to the spacious on site car park and we headed first to the cafe. Think I made a bad order as menu on the board was only in German and I made some errors in translation!!! Left half of it.

Very reasonably priced museum and plenty of displays with both German and English writing. Not dynamic but interesting if you’re into that sort of thing.

Spent about an hour in the museum and would have struggled to be there for much longer. Still, an enjoyable and interesting experience overall.

A big, big museum of maschines of old Saxony. If you like maschines (agriculture, textile, and so on), this is the place to be.

This museum is very interesting and informative. The special exhibition about gestures is interactive. So you can try something new and not only look at different objects and read some facts about it. I can recommend to visit it.
The staff is very friendly.
It’s really worth a visit.
