Great View

Great view, a lot of history to hear about, try to find good prices, but it depends on the season you go

Top experience. Steamship DRESDEN ( anno 1927! ) for 45 minutes to the Blue Wonder ( Blaues Wunder ) Bridge combined with a ticket to the BERGFAHRT for panoramic view of the city and bus ride back for only 14 euros. It was rather fresh autumn day but we enjoyed the old steam ship "Dresden" which is beautifully restored. Spic... More

We took the Elbufer to Pillnitz. It was a beautiful fall day and the trip was perfect. Reasonably priced and they offer several excursions on historic paddle wheeler boats. The running narrative was both in German and English and was very understandable. Drinks were reasonably priced as well.

The paddle steamer cruise to Pillnitz castle and park was the best river cruise that I have ever been on. The scenery along the way was absolutely beautiful and commentary in both German and English was enough but not too much. I took so many scenic photos. There was wonderful food and drink service on board and it was also... More

A favorite when in Dresden: The long stretch from the inner city along the Elbe river. This stretch of nicely paved riverbank is an excellent choice for the morning (or afternoon) run towards the Blue Wonder Bridge. Calm, well-lit (at least in parts), easy to find and hard to get lost makes it an obvious choice for the foreigner wanting... More

Fantastic way to see the countryside of Germany on authentic paddle steamers! take a trip to Pilnitz, as the landscape is more appealing, and enjoy a beer with bratwurst & potato salad!!

What a view and while enjoying the scenes and drinking some ice cold beer that's a holiday . Dresden is a nice and friendly place to visit better than Berlin as it's very relaxing.

I wanted to see Dresden for the restored buildings, but the river cruise was the highlight of our trip! The boat glides down the Elbe River (2 hours down river, and 1+ back). The river scenes of grasslands, buildings, bridges, were absolutely beautiful, and I could have stayed on the river forever. The service on the boat was good, too.

The river borders the historic city centre. We spend time just sitting watching the river, the boats and escaping from the business of the tourist area behind us.

Hot sunny day, beautiful river scenery, table on the upper deck under a canopy, pint of wheat bear; 90 minutes of bliss! Didn't book in advance, just turned up and paid 17.50 at the ticket booth on the river front. Didn't want it to end.
