This ist clearly the foster child of Weimar's attractions. For everyone interested in Franz Liszt or , like myself, a devotee to his art, it's a must.We were there on our own. Just a guard and the lady at the ticket counter. It's marked somehow but you may loose the trace. students studying nearby, evidently had no clue of what... More

The audio guide in English is a must as it gives a lot of background information and adds to the experience. The rooms are as they were when Liszt lived here and downstairs it is possible to hear his work.

This is tucked into a side street, but don't you dare miss it! The original furniture and instruments are there and very well preserved. Nice exhibit although the music section on the ground floor could have better explanation.

This is Liszt's second home in Weimar (his main home houses a research facility devoted to his life and work). Many of the rooms have been preserved in their original, including his own piano. The place surprises by its modesty. There are plenty of memorabilia, portraits, medals, porcelain, lamps, walking sticks, diplomas. The staff is very friendly (which is not... More

Views you can find in old photographs portraying Liszt with his audience. You can feel the mucial history at the park in a highly cultural but not a big city.

This is a really interesting memorial to a fascinating great man. The apartment is beautiful. The setting on the edge of the park is also lovely.

Rather disappointing as there was relatively little to see in the house apart from a few rooms. Fine if you wanted to use the headphones provided to listen to Liszt music at the end. Staff on the reception were not particularly friendly.

I recently visited the Liszt House and loved it. The entrance fee was €3 for students, and came with an audio guide for the upstairs floor/residential part and an audio headphone set for the main floor listening rooms/timelines. The audio guide was very interesting providing insight on furniture/paintings in each room, as well as anecdotes from Liszt's personal and family... More
