Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We walked through this verdant square early in our walk around through the old town and came back here for a leisurely lunch under the beautiful trees. There are a couple of good restaurants here with outdoor tables. The buildings are lovely and the landscaping is lush.

Lovely square with some amazing trees and the lovely museum on the one side - some fascinating Phoenician history over 3,000 years!

Absolutely gorgeous square with all the plants and exotic trees (is that a banyan???) groing on it, the museum at one side and some cafes.

A grand space, expansive with much flora including fine trees. Fascinating to learn that it rests on an orchard of a former Convent.

Two great paved walkways border a delightful centre square with gardens and seating. A number of sculptures reside here.

Plaza de la Mina became one of our favourite places in Cádiz, there are a wide variety of trees, it is surrounded by Jacarandas which produce beautiful purple blossom during spring. Lots of other specimens brought back from the Americas and really well kept. On any given day, the plaza is a little different, quiet on early weekdays, very busy over the weekend when it is filled with family life. A few decent bars on the southern end will allow you to relax with a drink and a little food. In winter, the sun spills into the North of the plaza, and whilst it may be only 16°C in January, the warmth of the sunshine compensates for the relative lack of ambient temperature.
Sit and relax, read a book, have a coffee, Mina is a delightful place to be.

The attention was very correct at all times and they have been very attentive.
The apartment has 10 rooms, modern and very complete.
Very central with public parking two minutes away. €19 if you park it for more than 12 hours.

They say it is "the most beautiful square in the city center". We would say it is the "greenest square in the city center" with benches, palm trees and tall trees. The "Museo Cadiz" is located on this square. Before visiting the museum, we had a refreshment in a café.

This square is located in the old part of the city and is a very lively place, with bars, trees and notable buildings, such as the Museum of Cádiz.
This square was developed in the 19th century on the orchard of the San Francisco convent. Its name is due to the guerrilla Espoz y Mina, a prominent figure in the fight against the Napoleonic invaders, and the name ended up being simplified with the mention of the second part of this character's surname. The square preserves 19th century buildings of various architectural styles. The neoclassical building of the Museum of Cádiz stands out, and in one of the buildings we find a plaque alluding to the fact that the composer Manuel de Falla was born in that building.
It is also an interesting square for botany fans, since there are trees of various species, as well as some garden areas with flowers. There is also a group of allegorical sculptures of the seasons of the year.
The square is home to several bars with terraces and there is usually plenty of entertainment at almost any time.
It is an essential place on any walk through the center of Cádiz.
