Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hubby and I walked along Paseo Canalejas, the promenade from the Cathedral enjoying the sea air and sunshine. The path is wide and flat and there are bench seats if you need a rest along the walkway. Watch out for the cycle route between the road and path. Some lovely beaches along the way and some nice views of the city and coastline. Worth a wander.

Cadiz is a small town jutting out on a peninsula. Not much to see but this is one of the good viewpoints to see the coatsline and the cityscape. I was there off season and they were doing heavy construction which kind of ruined it.

Really beautiful! Recommend the walk from the cathedral along the water until Park Genoves. Passing by Caleta beach. Having the view of the cathedral on the back and then the fortress with the boats. Amazing sunsets.

My wife and I walked a good length of this promenade path on our visit to Cadiz in December 2022 at the end of a cruise holiday. Having walked many of the narrow streets and alleyways in the old part of town we strolled along the Paseo Canalejas from the Cathedral along to San Sebastian Castle, around the western coast past Playa de la Caleta, passing the Santa Catalina Castle and finishing up at Parque Genovés before heading back through town to the cruise ship.

It's an easy walk with views of the city on one side and views of the ocean and castles on the other. The only criticism was a general lack of places to sit in the shade but it's a lovely walk and one we both enjoyed.

We were in the city for a day on a cruise and this section of our overall walk was a delight. On one side you have the sea wall and views out over the bay and on the other are the old buildings and areas of trees to provide shade and peace.

Long and relaxing way on the seaside. Quite windy very often, but if you spend more days you will find the perfect time! Enjoy!

Really great place to walk or run and particularly good at sun set. It’s right beside the Atlantic and super!

A welcome break from the fascinating narrow streets of the old town, this promenade with the sea on one side and a small tree filled park on the other was delightful.

Beautiful easy walk with the ocean on one side and fantastic gardens on the other . It is fascinating to watch the locals fish from the walls to try their luck at catching some of the amazing g cushion can see in the clear waters.
