Interesting to see inside a bull ring - now converted into an outdoor cinema. Thankfully no more bulls slaughtered for entertainment here, or maybe only once a year during their fiesta. You can go inside and wonder round. Has an interesting museum showing bullfighting paraphernalia and pictures plus dinosaur fossils, agricultural heritage, cinema exhibits and various oddities. All free.

Ok visiting a bull ring without a bullfight doesn't make for a lot of value, BUT visiting during a bull fight does! My first bullfight and I found it interesting and a must see if you have any interest in Spanish history and culture. The pageantry and process along with the music make it a truly remarkable experience. The showmanship... More

We visited with no bulls present. Not y place to pass comment on bull rings. Great area, well presented and interesting to see the shape and size. Bigger inside than out in a dr who way. As with most of the old town very very nice to walk around with all the plant pots...

We went here early morning , just before all bars/restaurants were open. Despite it was hot morning walking trough a small narrow streets decorated with fresh flowers was amazing experience. We took a lot of photos. Just go there and enjoy.

. Many of you, quite understandably, would prefer not to see bulls in a bullring, while understanding that this is a Spanish tradition (albeit one that is dying out). Having just visited it again myself, I feel that it is well worth seeing as a monument. You could combine it with a visit to the Sunday market in the Marina,... More

This bull ring is an unusual shape . We went to a flea market in the entrance and got to see the ring even though it was a Sunday. We were fascinated by the operating theatre which was extremely old fashioned. There is a fine statue of a bull and matador outside.

Unfortunately, my family in Spain against bullfighting so I just bite my tongue & bare my will to see this traditional Spanish sport. Anyways.. Wish I... More

We visited during the day, there is a free museum in 3 sections. Bullfighting/historical household & machinery items/fossils. We really enjoyed it. Seeing and walking onto the bull ring. Seeing where the bulls are housed and how they are let out was all very exciting for my 3 boys.

. The Plaza de Toros in Estepona is very near the marina - just across the main road. Modern (ish) it was built in 1972, and it is unique in Spain (although there's another like it in Mexico) because it isn't round but elliptical - sort of oval shaped. You can see this from inside. And you can get inside... More
