Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Thursday 18th April we had just walked down from Castilio Gibralfaro through the Jardines de Puerta Oscura. From there we walked along the side of this impressive building which abuts the Jardines de Pedro Luis Alonso.
We turned on to Avenida de Cervantes, where we came to see the front of the building in all it's glory.
It is the Ayuntamiento De Malaga, City Hall, it is also known as La Casona Del Parque (The Mansion In The Park). It was built between 1911 to 1919 in the Baroque Revival style of architecture.
The main entrance portico has a balcony with stone balustrades from where four flags fly. This is enclosed by two pillars, on either side, which support a triangular pediment. In front of the pediment are a number of statues. This is all topped by a clock tower.
Around the building there are pillars framing the numerous windows. There are also statues and cameos embedded into the brickwork of the building.
Just down the road from the building there are other impressive buildings, the University of Malaga and the Bank of Spain.
Looking down one of the sides there are views of Alcazaba.

This town hall was on our way from the beach to the city centre so we passed it many times. On each occasion, you notice the opulence and beauty of the building.
I suppose it is a testament to the history of this place and the wealth it generated. Beautifully ornate it dominates the area and makes for a great photo opportunity.
Don’t miss the park immediately opposite either as it is a very beautiful situation and lovely to walk through. You can get shade from the heat here in amongst the trees and it is very tranquil indeed.

The Town Hall is located next to the pleasant gardens of Jardines de Pedro Luis Alonso with the flower seller statue in the middle. Built on reclaimed land from the sea in a neobaroque style and opened in 1919 it’s easy to spot due to its size from the castle ramparts and mirador viewpoint. Not sure if there’s public access to the interior but from above you can spot the rooftop “smoking lounge” area!

This building is spectacular from the outside but don't miss the chance to go inside where there are some amazing stained-glass windows depicting the history of Malaga and a very grand staircase. In December they hold a nativity scene and you can wander around the building.

Standing outside this building is amazing. Full of history and easy on the eye if you want to take a picture.

An exceptional neo-baroque building built at the beginning of the last century. It is currently used by the municipality of Malaga, in close proximity to the University of Málaga and the Bank of Spain.

Easily seen this is a magnificent building situated on Avenida Cervantes across from the Jardines de Pedro Luis Alonso. Lots of architectural features to look at form the outside, very pleasant on the eye. I believe sometimes you can gain entry to the inside.

Ayuntamiento de Malaga or the municipal city hall of Malaga. The city hall is a fine example of a Neo Baroque building with some interesting features such as the use of the mythical greek Titan Atlas supporting the base of columns. There's also some beautiful nautical themed relief sculpture alluding to the maritime history of the city. Not a must see, but worth a small detour if you're near Parque de Malaga or the Roman Theatre.

Ayuntamiento De Malaga is a beautiful looking building we passed while walking through the beautiful park.
I think this is city hall but not 100% sure but one thing I am sure of is how much of a great looking building this is.
The facade look exquisite and viewed from the Park this building looms absolutely amazing and makes for some great photographic opportunities.
Most definitely well worth going out of your way to view this amazing looking building.
Easy to locate on Avenida Cervantes.

as many others in Malaga. A pity you cannot go inside during weekends unless you have an event like a wedding or similar...
