A small, lovely building with historical artists' paintings and some other artistic items. Could spend several hours enjoying the art.

I have been to Malaga plenty of times, but this was my first visit to the Carmen Thyssen museum, mainly to see the Spanish Realism exhibition I saw advertised all over town. When we arrived about 18:30 there was a queue of about 30 people in fron of the museum, and we already debated if it was worth visiting, when... More

For me my visit was lucky - the temporary exhibition was one of great interest so I bought a ticket that included both the permanent and special exhibition. ( Reduced tarif for both. ) I liked the collection and enjoyed the building itself too - 16th century city palace. LIke a lot of galleries/museums in Spain it is built around... More

Exhibition well presents Spanish every day life over times but also the building itself is pretty impressive. There is also a terrace where you can rest in the sun and take a look at roofs of Malaga

We spent a morning going through this museum. For me it was just lovely to walk in the gallery and see a room of evidently Spanish paintings in this beautiful building. Not to be missed.

Like its big brother in Madrid, this museum has a very comprehensive collection, focusing in this case on Spanish painters. While some of the earlier works are a bit chocolate box, tourist pictures, the later art was more to my taste. The building itself is bright and airy, and there's a small terrace on the second floor where you can... More

Like its counterpart in Madrid, this museum has a small but very nice collection. There are some lovely works by Sorolla that make the trip worthwhile alone.
