A Very Good Market

The Atarazanas Market has very good fruits. I went there to buy a dozen golden delicious apples and these were very good. There were many stalls where I could buy these fruits.

We walked through this market several times on our visit to Malaga. The selection is amazing and the vendors are friendly and helpful.

Busy colourful food market full of bountiful food stalls with a couple of coffee bars so perfect for a stop off. It's central, only a couple of minutes walk from Malaga Centro station.

The best thing about Mercado Central de Atarazanas is that it is a local market, where people are shopping their daily needs more than it is a touristic place. This is a place where you come to eat, shop and meet your friends - in a random order. There are loads of good food there and you can get a... More

I buy my fish from here most times. Wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as all sorts of meet. After the shopping have some tapas and a beer on the site. Best visit early in the morning.

Such a cool atmosphere here. You get a good look at all the local products and people who buy them. We picked up a few treats to have back at our condo. You can get buckets of delicious olives dirt cheap! A bit tricky to navigate if you don't speak Spanish very well...but with a lot of pointing and nodding... More

Visited this market just after Christmas and we were amazed with all fresh fish, meat and produce! Each stall beautifully displays their products and walking there is just like being in an episode of Parts Unknown with Anthony Bourdain! This is how a market should look like! Authentic and showing the Spanish culture at its best! Well worth visiting!

A visit to this market should be on everyones list of places to visit in Malaga, you get a feel for the region here, the stall holders are friendly & willing to talk about their produce.

A very nice covered produce market with fish, meat, veg, fruits, cheese, olives, etc. Expect something similar to other markets in other major cities, but with a Spanish flavor. We had tapas from the seafood stalls at the entrance, including paella, and enjoyed them very much.

Beautiful Moorish building. Ornate wrought iron with huge archway. All sorts of food stalls and lots of buzzing bars serving great looking snacks.
