It's got a Picasso statue sitting on a bench. There are lots of restaurants around. It's a good place to people watch, grab a tapa, or tea.. On this particular day there is an art exhibition around the momument. It's alright.

Don’t go out of your way for this one. A fairly dirty small square mainly people letting their dogs play (which is nice), a lot of tourist restaurants in front so ok for tapas and a quick break. A quick photo with a bronze statue...More

Stayed just across from the plaza. Every day seemed to bring a different protest march, highly entertaining 😁 This is a real living part of the city, I wish Piccadilly Gardens back home were more like this

Lovely area to sit, relax and take a break. Its a big plaza with plenty of seating and plenty of cafes. Lots of people queuing to take their picture with Picasso statue.

Pleasant open space close to the oldest and prettiest part of the city. One side is completely taken up with bars of all kinds and - something for everyone. Especially lively in the evening, but just as good for breakfast and lunch.

Great atmosphere in what was once Picasso’s front square. Lots of movement and buzzing with the sound of vibrant chatter. Mainly a young crowd 25-35. Very safe. Bars more so than restaurants.

The plaza was close to our BnB and we dined there several times and did takeout as well. There are probably 10 small restaurants including a very good vegetarian one. There was even a Starbucks...and the Picasso house and the end of the plaza. Good...More

Yes - try Restaurante Vegetariano Cañadú, Plaza de la Merced, 21 Málaga - (+34) 952 60 27 19. Very good reviews. It's on the opposite side of the Plaza to Picasso's house. Enjoy.
