Not faraway the cathédrale we find this nice museum of Spanish painters from the region; self portrait and other nice paintings, you like or not like, each to his own, the tastes and the colours can not be a discussion.

Located in a little cup de sac just behind Malaga museum, very pleasant gallery and an oasis of calm right in heart of Malaya.

I was never that fascinated about portrait oil-paintings like here. The paintings are absolutely beautiful, well composed, the light is catched on the canvas, the details of the clothes and expressions of the portrayed people is fantastic. The artist captured the beauty of each person in his paintings and worked out the special personal character. Amazing!!!

I have been visiting this museum a few times in 5 years and never get tired of it. It is quiet and hidden away from the tourists track. I love it that way it is not crowded with chattering crowd. You can really take your time to enjoy every painting. If you ever want to paint figures and portraits, this... More

Delighted to see some pictures we recognised but were not aware of the artist. Not a large gallery but clearly de Toro was very good.

Popped in here on a rainy Sunday after hearing mass in the Cathedral as it's just round the corner and opens at 10am. The 10 minute film on Pedro de Mena was really informative especially if you've seen some of his works in the cathedral and other museums. The house itself is beautifully restored and a pleasure to stroll through.... More

Wonderful portraits in a smallish museum. Entrance was free today as it was a Sunday and we enjoyed this so much more then the more famous Picasso museum which is situated just round the corner.

Cheap enough to go into, a local artist, who graphically was accomplished, however, some of his key poster were not on display. A small well stocked reading area with reference books. However, the film presentation of the wood sculptor, Pedro de Mena who worked on many of the important cathedrals in the area was captivating.
