    Gone downhill
Sadly Puerto banus has been ruined by endless stag and hen parties. It used to be a place of utmost elegance and fine dining. Totally naked women dancing on boats is not nice, even my 30,s sons did not think so. Junkies getting their shots in public. Need i say more. The mayor needs to do something about this.

    How the other half live!
This was one of the stops on a day trip that we went on. We only got to stay for 45 mins so after a look around, no time for food or drinks. Nice to come and marvel at the expensive cars and shops around the marina!

    Busy! Overcrowded! Expensive!
Very very very busy. We visited early evening. We had two children (12&10) had to make sure they were close due to how busy it was. Very expensive - good if you like fancy cars! A lot of people posing by them! All restaurants were really busy so if you are planning to eat there, make sure you pre book. Or walk around to the other side of the harbour, where there is lots of places to eat and it is not busy! You get a good sunset at the other side aswel!

Stop by if you are interested in shopping in branded stores.
Puerto Banus Marina is the pretty marina on a suburb of Marbella. This is a popular place for rich people, locals and tourists, to show off their clothes, expensive cars and spend money. Lots of people, narrow sidewalks for pedestrians, cars driving one after another right on your feet, all this creates a feeling as if you are at someone else's party, where no one was waiting for you. Expensive brand shops are located along the embankment opposite the bay with yachts. There are practically no customers in them. It is difficult to get into the restaurant even during the day time without a reservation. It was hot and uncomfortable. We stayed here for about an hour and left this place without regret. The place is overpriced and overrated.

A day trip from Marbella Old Town to Puerto Banus Marina- never to be repeated. Designers stores and expensive cars simply driving around the marina area, showing their car off. The back street area of the marina was unfortunately empty / deserted with rubbish all over the place, with most shops closed and in general, it needed a good clean up. We looked for somewhere to eat, but could not find anywhere we were comfortable to sit at. It is a place that most people would put on a "to do list" to expierence and we are glad we went, but would not repeat. Visited in Nov21 and would not return.

Went on a stag so we had a great time however it is well over priced and not really that nice to look at. The main nightlife strip is lined with bars playing dance music. The Portside and Crystal Karaoke club are the only places offering a variety of sounds.

You can't walk the strip at night without being harassed by women offering their services. These also hung around in some of the clubs.

The place is riddled with drugs.

In the morning Puerto Banus is quiet and has a gentle pace. It is beautiful to see the harbour with the range of boats from modest 8 metre boats to super yachts, with the bars, high end shops and eateries so close. The only really noticeable sounds beyond the chatting of holiday makers, and boats coming and going under minimal power are the occasional jet skis being tested and the engine noises from super cars.

In the evening it is a different town, super cars being dropped off for concierge services to park, and the not so flash driving along the harbour front looking to park (where access is strictly limited to pass holders), the milling of people moving between bars and restaurants and a vibe that is full of anticipation for a night out.

All in all Puerto Banus is worth a visit, but it has its considerations… parking is pricey, drinks are typically 5 euros for a coke, and many other drinks considerably more, so not surprising that it is relatively easy to get a table

If you want to people watch, walk the harbour and soak up the atmosphere you’ll love it. If you wanted to see a typical port, it isn’t.

Best but is the not so well publicised trips out to see you smaller yachts for example the dolphins at sunset experience that makes the visit true,y on to remember

What a place - you have to visit if only to see everyone strutting their stuff and driving their Lamborghinis and Ferraris along the Marina area. Great selection of cafes and restaurants along the street on one side with the marina opposite. Excellent people watching venue.

Some expensive boats and cars around. The shops are pretty high quality and priced, although there are some cheaper ones as well. Cafe and restaurants can be expensive, but can also be reasonably priced. Much as you would expect in this kind of place. People watching can be entertaining.

Visited from our nearby base in Isdabe and taking about 15 minutes by bus the town area adjacent and the marina itself is easily accessible and generally interesting if a little on the showy side. It is clear there is money here and lots of it, from the multi-million £/€ yachts to the premium branded retail store you are left in no doubt that the it the wealthy and the jet set are in residence and while that in itself isn’t an issue as such.

The experience does leave you hollow. Photo opportunities aside and taking in the expanse of pretty boats it also seemed soulless. Those working in the stores seemed focused on checking out whether you looked wealthy enough to be in their store and any smile that initially welcomed you was paper thin. On the whole interesting for the time taking photos of the boats and yachts but disappointing in the feel and ambience that surrounded it.

I have returned to Marbella twenty years after my last visit, now with a 13 years old daughter and a nine years old son. We met some old friends, we visited the old town, after that going for a walk and dinner in Puerto Banus Marina. Great disillusion: it merely is an uncharacteristic marina as all those that spread worldwide. The same shops, the same brands, the same products, it even seemed the same kind of people. The marina area seemed this time even smaller, too crowded, not particularly clean, and nothing appealing to view since one can see the same kind of yachts in the same type of marinas, from Estoril to Sharm El Sheikh, from Macao to Surabaya. The Andalusian flavor is not there; thus, you visit nothing else but another marina.

I feel sure this area is jam packed in summer. We visited late February and it was pretty busy as the day wore on although there were lots of places to eat and drink and just watch the world go by. Designer shops line the narrow road which runs along the marina front and there are some fabulous boats and cars to give you an idea of what people like to spend their money on.

Always visit this marina when we holiday anywhere nearby. The walk out along the sweeping walkway gives views looking down to Gibraltar. The bay is kept clean and inviting with a lovely swimming area. Lots of coffee shops serving brunches and treats, reasonably priced as the open fronts onto the marina give a lovely ambience, watching the world go by.
Didn't feel any pressure or inclination to go spend money, just a walk around to take in the views and the lovely joy display.
Just be prepared to amble and make time to sit and relax.
A really enjoyable morning - do a bit of research on carparks as the ones further back are better value.
