This is the most go place in Torremolinos, if you love flamenco art
Oct 2019
Slightly old-fashioned but very stylish place. Small. It feels like it has a long dignified history ...that is what made the whole experience perfect.
If it weren't for the tourists shooting and filming, it would have seemed like doing a authentic flamenco club.
In the room, however, the Spaniards' own emotions, clapping, and shouts were felt.
I enjoyed the whole show and every second of that. Emotional and professional dancers, very skilled guitarist. In the meantime, he seemed to have sparks between his fingers ... so fast was playing.
The movement and charisma of the male dancer probably came to the heart of every woman in the hall :-). The female solitaire evoked a sense of superhuman power.
Thank you for providing such an experience. Muchos Grazias !

I thought the singer and guitar player were quite talented, the dancers as well, though I feel bad for what they were made to perform. This was not a true Flamenco show or at least not what I love about Flamenco. Some numbers were done to recorded music. Yes, recorded music. Russian ballet mixed in with Flamenco? Only one clapper for most numbers, no cajon. I don't know dance well and if you are looking for a dance revue, you might come away happy, but if you are moved by the power and passion of pure Flamenco, this will leave you hungry.

Spanish flamenco

Don’t go to Spain without seeing a flamenco show. In the middle of Little England this show has real Spanish authenticity. Well done, hurra!

An Emotional Evening
May 2019 • Couples
The seats were a tad uncomfortable but as soon as the show started and the music and dance swept me away, I forgot I was even sitting.
The level of emotion conveyed by the music made me, an adult man, weep a few times, and I couldn't control it.
The dancers were fantastic with their movement, the passion, and the facial expressions.
Definitely worth the cost!

I’ve never seen anything like this before so was a new experience for me but thoroughly enjoyed the show, small venue underground so it’s quite warm and humid but the show is great drinks little overpriced.

Not bad
Jul 2018 • Friends
Only 20 in the audience. The venue was almost empty . Chairs very uncomfortable. The female dancers were good especially the lead dancer. One of the two male dancers was very sharp, the other was embarrassingly chubby and really not up to it. The flamenco guitarist and traditional singer filled the gaps during costume changes and were excellent. The choreography was a bit samey. The production lacked rough , gypsy passion.

A cultural night out
May 2018 • Couples
This was a very good evening’s entertainment of flamenco music and dancing. The arrival drink was included in the price. Chairs were uncomfortable but tolerable. Dancers and musicians were highly skilled. Worth seeing if staying in the area.

Highlight of my trip
Jun 2018 • Friends
We were a large group (80 persons) and finding something to entertain everyone was difficult. However, everyone emerged with giant smiles on their faces and infatuations with the dancers. Having only seen flamenco in small doses on TV, this was full immersion. It would have been helpful to know a little about each selection, however, the show is fast-paced, with no down-time apart from the 15-minute interval...otherwise, nearly 2 hours of solid, aggressive dancing. The choreography was well done, but some dancers were not in sync with others. What a delight to hear the castanets. The guitarist was amazing, as was the chanter. We were exhausted and amazed by the skills of the lead dancer. Since we were all musicians, we greatly appreciated this delightful show.

After seeing a Flamenco show in Barcelona, we thought it might be worth seeing a similar show in Torremolinos. Pepé Lopez's Taberna Flamenco is not really easy to find, but ultimately well worth the research. It was a Thursday night - and the two hour performance starts at 10pm.

The only 'Flamenco Tavern' in Malaga, it is bit of a hole in the wall off the square, it is rustic, dark and full of light, sound and energy. The 30€ entry includes a drink. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Where similar performances offer the choice of a cheap wine or sangria, they offered a full line of mixed drinks, beer or wine.

My wife, who lived here 10 years ago (and knows the finer points of Flamenco and it's culture), explained that what we saw was a blending of the old Flamenco mixed with a bit of new wave - which brought new life to the show. Bright costuming, well written choreography and a talented cast of 8 delivered a very solid show.

It was not quite as polished as it could have been, but it was totally entertaining.

I would certainly recommend the show to anyone visiting Torremolinos and looking for a good night out!
