It was a weeks escape from UK winter that brought us back to the Costa and staying as usual in Torre. Calle San Miguel was alive with locals, tourists and is a great place to window shop and people watch.

My wife and I went shopping at Calle San Miguel. We had not been here for a long time and found out there were many new shops. We bought several things and enjoyed the shopping.

Love this pedestrianised shopping area. Loads of shops and cafes. Can access the beach from the steps at the end of the street- much better than coming from the beach up to the Calle- extremely strenuous.

The street runs from the top of the town all the way down and if you cross the small road and carry on down into the corner of the small square you come to a winding path that goes all the way down to the sea front.

Worth a visit The main shopping street in Torremolinos, nicely illuminated for the Xmas period. Access to this street from the beach includes a steep uphill walk. Look for the blue wooden boat on the promenade, and climb the steps from there.

It is quite normal experience walking down the street. I thought prices were cheap on some branded stuff but soon I start to realize most of them, if not all, are fake. So do exercise caution.

Good area especially if you like shopping for souvenirs. Some of the shops looked like they haven't changed much since the 1970s. There's the usual bars and restaurants.
