Whether you are going as part of a tour, or on your own, you need to make your reservation early. I booked with Viator in early February for a mid September visit and still could not get the tour I wanted. Our guide told us...More

The Alhambra has been on my wish list for many years and I certainly wasn't disappointed. We booked a tour with Nhue starting at 4pm. The tour guide was very well informed - actually born in Granada, and very interesting. Not for the faint hearted...More

This was even better than we expected. The details of the decoration was amazing. Our guide was very friendly and moved us through the crowds at just the right pace.

Even if not a first time visit the Alhambra remains as beautiful as the first time. We took the little bus up for convenience.

We had a good tour guide whom was funny and a wealth of information but the process in waiting for your tour and tour guide is disorganised and all the more difficult with the weather. I think it is wrong how tour companies buy up...More

Especially during the summer month the Alhambra is extremely crowded - but of course it is also one of the main sights in Spain. And it is really a sight that can not be missed, the architecture is stunning and you feel like travelling back...More

We booked our tickets on line beforehand. The walk up from the town is steady but not difficult. Converting the e-mail to tickets at the machine at the booking office was easy and there was no queuing at 9:30. There are good models of the...More

I am finding it very confusing with the overload of information online for booking tickets to see the ENTIRE Alhambra Palace (incl.Generalife Gardens etc.) complex. Help! Just 2 of us - my husband and myself - will be in Granada on 30 April 2018. We prefer an 8am start at the entrance meeting point to skip the line and beat the crowds (am I correct in this assumption?)but I find the timeslot of some tours stating "tour starting between 8am - 12noon" quite vague. Is it because of the timing of Nasrid Palace tickets? 1) Private Tours: Is there a choice for the starting time seeing they are that much more expensive than guided groups of 30? Would we have a choice of time going on a private tour for the Nasrid Palace? 2) Groups 10max (guided) I think a group this size would be fine but cant find any tours fitting this number. 3) Groups 30max (guided) seems a large number even with headphones to hear the guide. Also, can we stay on after the end of the above tours to explore further and revisit any favourite unticketed sites? Is there a time limit to when we would have to leave the complex? Any hints are much appreciated. Many thanks!
