Make this a priority while in Granada!

The Tapas Tour that we took while in Granada was a unique experience and a highlight of our trip. Our guide for the evening, Leo, was charming, engaging and exceptionally knowledgeable about the Albayzin district of Granada. The evening tour started at 7:00 PM with a tour of the Albayzin where Leo enlightened us at every turn with a myriad of facts, trivia, and general information about Granada's oldest neighborhood. Over the next few hours, after we had descended from the Albayzin to the heart of Granada, we meandered our way to 3 different tapas bars where we were able to sample a variety of local food and drink specialties at some unique places that may not be in the "guide book." Leo explained that he never knows ahead of time which places he will stop at during the tour as much depends upon the nature and size of the group and what places are open and have the right energy for that day/evening. This tour company keeps the group numbers relatively low (in our case, it was just my wife and I plus 2 others) which makes for an intimate experience. This never felt like a perfunctory tour where the guide was just going through the motions. Rather, it was if we were "hanging out" with Leo for the evening, as he stopped at some of his favorite places in Granada. I cannot emphasize enough how much we enjoyed our Tapas Tour - highly recommended.

Wow! Small group Tapas and tour.

Wow! What a great experience with Ramon, would highly recommend. He was so knowledgeable about the history of the area , language, wine, tapas and olive oil!! We learned a lot, ate great food, drank fabulous wines and best of all, felt like we made a new friend! Do not hesitate to immerse yourself in Granada with this lovely small tour experience.

A fun and informative way to experience and learn about Granada

The Granada Tapas Tour was wonderful. Ramón, the guide, was informative and charming, sharing information about tapas and wine but also about local history, language and culture. It was a truly memorable evening and a perfect way to begin our trip to Granada!

Fantastic tapas tour

A fantastic evening with Leo. We walked down through the Albaycin learning lots about the history of the area along the way. Then went to 3 different bars for wine and tapas, again Leo giving lots of information about the tapas culture. We tried a variety of local wines and finished with a vermouth, a local speciality. The bars were off the tourist track and not ones we'd have otherwise discovered. Even though other people had cancelled, the tour still ran. We had Leo to ourselves so it became more like an evening out with a friend than a tour.

Excellent tapas tour that included so much more than food and drink (which we enjoyed). In addition, Ramon provided a really interesting introduction to the history and culture of Granada. He is a passionate advocate for the city.

Granada Tapas & Drinks Evening Around Town

Our Tapas evening with June was marvelous and a highlight of our month-long vacation! She's vivacious and funny and before we finished our first drink and Tapas, we felt like we were old friends. We visited 3 Tapas restaurants which were all unique, and we're quite sure we would not have found them on our own. The evening stroll was delightful, too. June's Tapas selections and wine/drink parings were varied, and everything was delicious. She expertly handled the food preferences noted in the reservation for our group of 4. The quantity of food was sufficient for us to consider it dinner that night. June also shared lots of information about the area and passed along great tips about things to see and do. We would urge others to do this tour at the beginning of your Granada stay, so that you can revisit at least one of the restaurants, as we did and incorporate some of the guide's sightseeing recommendations. The restaurant owner remembered us, and we had an outstanding dinner the next night.

A fun way to learn about Spanish cuisine and wine!

This was such a fun experience. Our guide took us to some great tapas places with a range of selections. From quiet to energetic places. She was very knowledgeable on the cuisine and on wine. Our group got along well and had a great time. Would highly recommend.

Great tour

We had a wonderful tour with a small group with our host June who was fun, informative and generous with her knowledge of Granada history, food, wine and music. We used her tips the next day and had more great culinary adventures. Highly recommended-thanks June.

We had a great tour with June. She was very knowledgeable about Granada and also very entertaining . She took us to some great places with great tapas and wine that we would never have found. I would highly recommend this tour.

Shellfish allergies did not cramp our style!!

We had a tour led by a very capable young man named Leo. He was trilingual and engaging. He paced the eating and drinking at a very comfortable tempo. I have shellfish allergies, but the tapas didn't suffer at all. There was such a variety, and everyone seemed truly pleased. I recommend Leo and this organization without reserve.
