I don't usually write comments but this time I feel responsible to write something about this museum because it's absolutely AMAZING and UNDERRATED! Tucked away in a side street is this museum to San Juan to Dios. Lovely building and very interesting to learn about San Juan. We had a guided tour as part of the charge to visit. Go find it!

Run by the Hospitallers of St John, this is a very interesting museum in an historic building. You enter through a beautiful Andalusian courtyard.

My wife and I visited the Museum during a four night stay in Granada. The Museum combines a fascinating collection of objects related to this Catholic order within the confines of an outstanding example of Spanish 16th century architecture. Well worth a visit.

Room after room of slightly creepy art and artefacts relating to the equally creepy St John of God. Loved the atmosphere and the bizarre selection of exhibits. Three euros with a guided tour by an enthusiastic young guide. Recommended

A myriad of religious artifacts, and the story of San Juan De Dios are housed here. This is also the house where he died, and a room upstairs has a patch uncovered to the original floor where he died while kneeling and praying. A docent...More
