Best experience we had in Andalucia. The baths were beautifully decorated and the massage was outstanding. This will be at the very top of my list of things to do when I return. Cannot wait to come back!

Factory like Hammam, where you are given 1h1/2 time including massage time for the price of your entrance. The staff is highly solicitated and you feel them tired when receiving a massage at the end of the afternoon. 2 entrances and 2 massages of 30 mins each : EUR 140 Probably due to extensive booking, the once inmemorable experience becomes a pass. Time to look for alternative places. Still a charming hammam.…

We were a bit wary given the hit/miss reviews. Both my friend and I experienced many traditional Hannan’s in various places and chose the Al Andalus because it emphasized “traditional” services. Well there was nothing traditional. Pools were lukewarm at best. Steam room was nice but still not hot enough. Decor and ambience looked stunning but then many couples kissing and groping each other (one pool featured three exhibitionistic couples!) was a big turnoff. The staff is constantly telling people “silencio” but pays no attention to the disrespectful behavior in the pools. We spoke to one attendant who greets people upon leaving the changing areas and told her we felt the sexual behavior was both unprofessional and unsanitary. She asked “does it bother you?” We left. Regarding the Midra30: it features 15 minutes exfoliation and 15 minutes massage. Our masseuse, Miguel has no idea what he was doing— he exfoliated the skin wi th too light of touch and did not follow traditional hamam protocol — instead of going in one circular direction he would go in many! And his massage was like being petted at a zoo! Beware that the prices online are cheaper then in person. MY advice: go to the more traditional hamam in Granada.…

Dear Michael, First of all, we would like to express that we are sorry about what you felt during your visit to our Hammam. We would like to clarify that we are not a conventional Hammam. Hammams in Morocco, Turkey, etc. are not the same concept as Hammams in Andalusia due to the mixture of cultures that have lived along the years in our region. We are the combination of the Culture of Water inherited from ancient Rome, refined by our Andalusian ancestors and interpreted in a contemporary way. So our services also are different from other similar places. Regarding the behavior of people, we are so sorry about what you are telling us. In every shift, we have a person in charge of maintaining the atmosphere of peace, as well as the correct behavior among the clients and these situations are not usual. Once more, we apologize for your experience. We take note of your comments and rest assured we will find out what could happen during your visit. Best regards, Hammam Al Ándalus
