This must be one of the most decorated churches in the world, it's dazzling. Mainly gilded wood, but also decorative tiles. It's hard to find an undecorated inch.

We went to this cathedral on the last day of our trip and it was impressive. Every inch of the cathedral is lined with something to look at. It looks like the entire place is covered in gold leaf. The entrance fee is 4 euros...More

Interesting but not really worth the detour. Extravagant gilding, verbose audio guide, you could just check the images on google and be as satisfied.

Excellent if you want to understand the extent of ultimate Spanish baroque architecture. Don't miss the spaces on the first floor behind the altar!

Went there on the third day of our Granada Trip. The entry is 4 Euros which includes the audio guide. The interior is amazing: relics, paintings, sculptures. Inserting one Euro coin turns the lights on at the High Altar which allows you see many features...More

This basilica is a little way out of the town centre, we went in with a combined ticket that we bought near the Cathedral in the town. Take care with opening times, it closes between 1.30pm and 4pm, but it is worth the walk and...More

You must go inside this basilica, it is a bit crowded with 1000 beautiful "things", your senses will be overwhelmed. It is also very humbling to see the place where they take care of handicapped children

I went to Basilica de San Juan de Dios because of another Trip Advisor review. Shows why Trip Advisor is truly priceless. Wow, Wow, Wow. The entrance via a very pretty but very modern garden, is on what is a side street of the church....More

Go here! It's mindblowing and awesome!! I don't believe in organised religion but this place is special. There is such a strong sense of 'something' here. A not to be missed Basilica in Granada.

Truly an amazing gem by itself. I a city where Muslim culture dominates you have the Christian gem than almost goes unnoticed. Worth the time if you have it.

no need to purchase in advance. We found very few queues in Granada even though we read that there would be.

Hallo. Just like the other contributors have answered, this is not the Cathedral. Now 2 points to note, if you like the Church of Saint John of God, the curator of the church recommended that I go and visit the same high... More
