A beautiful plaza encircled by splendid buildings. A wonderful place to sit and watch the world go by, having an early evening drink.

Plaza de Las Monjas is the main square in beautiful Huelva. The municipal architect, Francisco Monís y Morales, was commissioned to remodel the square as a public space in 1907. Near the fountain you will see a statue of was built in 1942.

I really enjoyed sitting on the plaza chair with a take away coffee and seeing my kid playing around. It’s just a nice place for a little break of a holiday tiredness.

This is a small plaza in the centre of Huelva. Lots of restaurants, some with seats outdoors and the famous Columbus statue. Not a lot of shops.

There is also the statue of Cristobal Colan and it is in the middle of the city. You can go and see anywhere you want from here. There are many cafes and restaurants around it.

Pretty square lined by palm trees and with a small fountain. The feature is a statue of Cristóbal Colón, better known to English speakers as Christopher Columbus.

This square has some touristic spots to see: - Small Fountain - Nice banks to look at other pedestrians passing by - Statue of Cristobal Colon and for sure, some beautiful buildings around the square in typical Andalucian style.

This square is lovely, the heart of Huelva. Really traditional Spanish plaza. Everyone congregates in the evening when the sun has gone down. There is children playing together and elderly people chatting. Even if you you pass through it is a really nice atmosphere.
