Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I only managed to see the one building, the Real Fabrica De Tabacos, from outside, which was gorgeous enough. It's a university, anyone can wander around. I did see a "no entry" sign in Spanish but worked out that was for vehicles including mopeds or bikes!

We walked passed this large edifice many times and decided to walk in. I had seen a book about the Seville University being an old tobacco factory. We quietly looked around and left.

you can walk through the central passage of the university where a great many displays of interest are present. It also has a very good uni cafe where some great food and coffee are good value.

This visit formed part of the free walking tour that we took in sevilla. Was a little weird at first going to see a university however the tour guide informed us that it was a tobacco factory and discussed some of the goings on. It was very interesting. Hard to talk in there as not many places for a tour. We got asked to move by an angry office worker. Really worth a visit as part of a tour to get a true history of the place.

Converting what was a major industrial complex from the late 1750s to a superb headquarters of the University, it has been a tremendous transformation.

A fabulous edifice, still apparently the second largest in Spain after El Escorial, it became a seat of learning in the past decades.

It’s a marvellous and gratifying transition from mass producing items injurious to human health to now imparting knowledge and learning to minds.

Came across this incredible building when walking to Plaza de España from the old town. Unfortunately it was a Sunday so not accessible, fortunately we tagged on to a bike tour and the guide was happy for us to listen to his commentary.

As mentioned in other reviews it was the old tobacco factory which seems impossible for such a grandeur building. We walked around it and just admired the quality wishing we. Oils see inside. They are very lucky students.

Only managed a fleeting glimpse of the fabulous looking building. Originally Europe’s first tobacco factory it is now the University of Seville. Understand that you can tour round, so this is now on the list for our next visit
