The cathedral is monumental. We went there especially for the Giralda Tower and the tomb of Christoffer Columbus.

A spectacular Cathedral – the world’s third largest after the Vatican and St. Paul’s - with lots to see and admire. The Cathedral gives access to the Giralda with the best views of Seville. To avoid the lines, you should first visit the Iglesia del Salvador, where you can buy a combination ticket that covers both locations; it is also... More

Make sure to book ahead, or you could easily spend more than an hour waiting to get in. Well worth a visit. One of the largest cathedrals in Europe and Cristopher Columbus' tomb.

This is a very large and ornate cathedral which felt oppressive to me. I prefer simpler churches. The scale is impressive and the artwork, stained glass and gold leaf are extensive throughout. The statue of the kings carrying the coffin of Christopher Columbus was a highlight. It was very crowded and even on a tour sometimes difficult to hear our... More

Stunning building and open area all around - some brilliant mosaics of all the cities/areas round Spain - great colours and design. Moated area around the front ( drained and dirty when we were here in January - hence only a four ) loads of horse & carriages and buskers about.

Seville isn't exactly the quintessential Spanish experience, but the combination of the Seville Cathedral, Plaza de Espana and the Real Alcazar demand a renewed attention to this amazing city. The cathedral, while low-key, is as impressive as most large gothic churches across Europe, if not even more due its massive scale and intricate ceilings. It looks sort of like a... More

We were in Seville during the 3 Kings holiday, it was busy. We didn't make it to the Cathedral as it was closed for the holidays and sold out when it reopened and we tried to go. Book online in advance is our advice. Book as much online as you can, during peak times, book in advance also you are... More

Although the start is very much like being funelled through a money-making machine (the audioguides are expensive, we shared one between two, it was loud enough even for my friend who is hearing impaired), and the entrance gallery displays uninteresting and not historically important pieces in my view, the cathedral is impressive as everyone says it is. Lots of entrances... More
